Frequently asked

What is the difference between PERCENTILE.INC and PERCENTILE.EXC?

PERCENTILE.INC includes the 0th (minimum) and 100th (maximum) percentiles. PERCENTILE.EXC excludes them and is useful when those extremes are considered outside the valid range.

How do I calculate quartiles?

Use QUARTILE.INC(range, quart) where quart is 1, 2, or 3 for Q1, Q2, Q3. Q2 equals the median.
